Forex robots manage in repetitive, technical analysis based forex trading analysis.\u00a0Such aspects lend themselves well to automation.\u00a0Profitable long-term FX trading is more than that, but forex robots (bots) or automated services can benefit.<\/span><\/p>\n

However \u2013 regardless of their complexity and capabilities \u2013 forex robots do not offer a one-stop solution for instant profitable trading.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are Forex Robots?<\/span><\/h2>\n

A forex robot is a specialized program \/ software, which generates trading signals through mathematical algorithms that use technical indicators.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Some FX robots simply send these signals to traders.\u00a0Other people can act on them.\u00a0It is the last variant that really deserves the name “robot”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having a piece of software do all the hard trading work for you must sound tempting.\u00a0All you have to do is go about your life and make a profit when you feel like it.<\/span><\/p>\n

That’s not how automated trading works.\u00a0There are several peddlers of such systems out there, who would prefer that you think like that about Fx robots.\u00a0However, on this page, we intend to discuss serious and viable automated trading systems.\u00a0Such systems require constant tweaking and human oversight.<\/span><\/p>\n

The real question is: do these FX robots work and how did they decide to replace you?<\/span><\/p>\n

How Do Forex Robots Work?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Expert Advisors (EAs)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

MetaQuotes’ MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is the \u201chome\u201d platform of forex robots called Expert Advisors (EAs).<\/span><\/p>\n

The EA uses a variety of technical indicators and custom scripts to derive trading signals and act on them.\u00a0Anyone can code EA directly through the trading platform.\u00a0The programming language used for this purpose is MQL 4 (MetaQuotes Language v. 4).<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a lively marketplace where traders and programmers buy and sell the best EAs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The best forex robots are able to scan the number of immoral charts.\u00a0Through the technical indicators they use, they then look for trading opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once it identifies such opportunities, the robot can recommend them to traders.\u00a0It can also act on it, opening positions according to a set of pre-programmed parameters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Limits<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

During both stages of operation, the limitations of the robot \/ EA are very clear.<\/span><\/p>\n

Experience has shown that automated trading only really works within tight confines.\u00a0Also, the presence of well-defined trends is a big plus.\u00a0Auto trading profits generally only amount to a few pips.\u00a0With the right conditions, forex scalping robots can be quite successful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because of this drawback however, large price swings can wipe out all profits in a heartbeat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Funnel markets and negative trends are the main enemies of profitable automated trading.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, it is important for the robot user to find the right direction and strength, before handing over the reins to the “brain” algorithm.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is not always easy or simple to make a working forex robot.\u00a0Programmers put a lot of hours and a lot of effort into building such software.\u00a0The amount of variables there are to adjust for makes it clear that this is no easy exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n

With that, the idea of \u200b\u200ba free robot robot that works, quickly becomes ridiculous.<\/span><\/p>\n

That said, the actual efficiency of a working forex robot is rather unimpressive.\u00a0Furthermore, the authorities consider such automated traders to be an unreliable novelty and a fraud at worst.<\/span><\/p>\n

That’s why you won’t find any serious FX publications promoting forex robots.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trading Experience<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The forex robot industry itself is not conducive to trust.\u00a0Peddlers from various trading bots do their best to outwit their competitors.\u00a0It’s a bit of a Wild West out there, and the winners are rarely the traders who buy forex robots.<\/span><\/p>\n

The best way to find a working forex robot is to go through the feedback given by real users.\u00a0Make sure you are dealing with genuine feedback.\u00a0Forex robot creators have an uncanny knack for studying user reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n

Genuine forex robots always require a lot of user input.\u00a0What this means is that the ideal user is far from an uninitiated beginner.\u00a0He needs to fully understand the market conditions in which his robot works.\u00a0The bot is only supposed to take the repetitive workload off the user’s shoulders.\u00a0It cannot be a “smarter” party.<\/span><\/p>\n

If that’s what you’re expecting, you’ll be disappointed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Besutan Robot Strategy \u2013 From You<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

You need to set up your FX robot to execute your vision correctly.\u00a0Once you’ve achieved that, you need to keep an eye on the market \/ base, and the rest of the robot, constantly tweaking its settings.\u00a0Shutting it down altogether and making a radically different approach is also often necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forex robots that compromise \u201cfire and forget\u201d deals are always scams.\u00a0No one will sell a forex robot that is able to grab unter untold on autopilot, for a few dollars.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That sounds too good to be true and indeed: it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bottom line: don’t expect much from your robot and know that you have to do a lot of work even during automated trading.<\/span>

Advantages and disadvantages<\/span><\/h2>\n

The advantages of forex robots are clear.\u00a0If you have a mechanically repetitive trading strategy, that actually works, you will be able to have your robot trade for you 24\/7.<\/span><\/p>\n

FX robots take the mechanical work out of the forex trading equation.\u00a0They can’t help you.<\/span><\/p>\n

They are unable to create their own strategies and therefore they are unable to adapt to changing market conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Successful forex trading requires skill, intuition, analytical approach and knowledge.\u00a0Forex robots do not have those properties.<\/span><\/p>\n

All auto traders, even the best forex robots in the world, work based on technical analysis.\u00a0By definition, technical analysis uses past data to try to draw conclusions about future price changes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Historical Forex Data<\/span><\/h2>\n

Any broker will quickly tell you in the fine print: past data is not indicative of future performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

As mentioned, the forex robot market is the original Wild West.\u00a0The cast does not attract attention and there is no way to make sales.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the tricks that forex robot sellers seem to like to turn, is the process of choosing the best from a pool of hundreds or thousands.\u00a0They then present the backtest as the result buyers of the “system” can expect.<\/span><\/p>\n

So the FX robot you’re interested in is backtested \u2026 which probably doesn’t mean anything.<\/span><\/p>\n

The forex robot industry is fertile ground for all kinds of scams.\u00a0It has always been that way, and it will probably continue on the same path.<\/span><\/p>\n

The semi-legitimate nature of the idea of \u200b\u200ban auto trader leaves a lot of room for shady scams.<\/span><\/p>\n

How can you tell that a forex robot is a scam?<\/span><\/p>\n
